canal boatman,for 22 yrs,first working with his parents till the age of 18,then had a single motor of his own,in the late 1950,s he worked joan for the mersey weaver co,then on to british waterways,with the single motor lamprey,dad left the boats in 1962 to take a job on the bank,he then went on to marry his beloved wife beth,having 4 children,wendy,martin kathy and carole,he then went on to work for ici ltd,then took early retirement in 1990,dad leaves behind his beloved wife beth his four children 3 son in laws.a daughter in law and 9 grand children,and another on the way,also his much loved family and friends,xxxx
